त्वया॑ ह स्विद्यु॒जा व॒यं प्रति॑ श्व॒सन्तं॑ वृषभ ब्रुवीमहि । सं॒स्थे जन॑स्य॒ गोम॑तः ॥ त्वया ह स्विद्युजा वयं प्रति श्वसन्तं वृषभ ब्रुवीमहि । संस्थे जनस्य गोमतः ॥
With you, showerer (of benefits), for our ally, we bid defiance to one assailing us in a contest (onbehalf) of a man possessing herds of cattle.
english translation
जये॑म का॒रे पु॑रुहूत का॒रिणो॒ऽभि ति॑ष्ठेम दू॒ढ्य॑: । नृभि॑र्वृ॒त्रं ह॒न्याम॑ शूशु॒याम॒ चावे॑रिन्द्र॒ प्र णो॒ धिय॑: ॥ जयेम कारे पुरुहूत कारिणोऽभि तिष्ठेम दूढ्यः । नृभिर्वृत्रं हन्याम शूशुयाम चावेरिन्द्र प्र णो धियः ॥
Indra, invoked of many, may we conquer in battle those contending against us; may we resist themalignant; may we, aided by the leaders (of rites, the Maruts), slay Vṛtra; may we be prosperous, and do you protect our pious works.
english translation
अ॒भ्रा॒तृ॒व्यो अ॒ना त्वमना॑पिरिन्द्र ज॒नुषा॑ स॒नाद॑सि । यु॒धेदा॑पि॒त्वमि॑च्छसे ॥ अभ्रातृव्यो अना त्वमनापिरिन्द्र जनुषा सनादसि । युधेदापित्वमिच्छसे ॥
You, Indra, are by your birth brotherless; from ever are you without a kinsman; the kindred you desire is(that of him) who engages in war.
english translation
नकी॑ रे॒वन्तं॑ स॒ख्याय॑ विन्दसे॒ पीय॑न्ति ते सुरा॒श्व॑: । य॒दा कृ॒णोषि॑ नद॒नुं समू॑ह॒स्यादित्पि॒तेव॑ हूयसे ॥ नकी रेवन्तं सख्याय विन्दसे पीयन्ति ते सुराश्वः । यदा कृणोषि नदनुं समूहस्यादित्पितेव हूयसे ॥
You acknowledge no friendship for the wealthy man (who makes no offerings); those who are puffed upwith wine offered you; when you instrumental tute (the sacrifice), you expelled niggardliness, and you are invoked as aprotector.
english translation
मा ते॑ अमा॒जुरो॑ यथा मू॒रास॑ इन्द्र स॒ख्ये त्वाव॑तः । नि ष॑दाम॒ सचा॑ सु॒ते ॥ मा ते अमाजुरो यथा मूरास इन्द्र सख्ये त्वावतः । नि षदाम सचा सुते ॥
Let us not, like fools, Indra, be regardless of the friendship of such as you are; let us assemble togetherwhen the libation is effused.
