प्र स॒म्राजं॑ चर्षणी॒नामिन्द्रं॑ स्तोता॒ नव्यं॑ गी॒र्भिः । नरं॑ नृ॒षाहं॒ मंहि॑ष्ठम् ॥ प्र सम्राजं चर्षणीनामिन्द्रं स्तोता नव्यं गीर्भिः । नरं नृषाहं मंहिष्ठम् ॥
Glorify with hymns the adorable Indra, the supreme king of men, the leader (of rites), the overcomer ofenemies, the most munificent.
english translation
यस्मि॑न्नु॒क्थानि॒ रण्य॑न्ति॒ विश्वा॑नि च श्रव॒स्या॑ । अ॒पामवो॒ न स॑मु॒द्रे ॥ यस्मिन्नुक्थानि रण्यन्ति विश्वानि च श्रवस्या । अपामवो न समुद्रे ॥
In whom all praises, all kinds of sustenance concentrate, like the aggregation of the waters in the ocean.
english translation
तं सु॑ष्टु॒त्या वि॑वासे ज्येष्ठ॒राजं॒ भरे॑ कृ॒त्नुम् । म॒हो वा॒जिनं॑ स॒निभ्य॑: ॥ तं सुष्टुत्या विवासे ज्येष्ठराजं भरे कृत्नुम् । महो वाजिनं सनिभ्यः ॥
I worship Indra with pious praises, glorious among the best (of beings), the achiever of great deeds inwar mighty for the acquisition (of wealth).
english translation
यस्यानू॑ना गभी॒रा मदा॑ उ॒रव॒स्तरु॑त्राः । ह॒र्षु॒मन्त॒: शूर॑सातौ ॥ यस्यानूना गभीरा मदा उरवस्तरुत्राः । हर्षुमन्तः शूरसातौ ॥
Whose unbounded and profound exhilarations are many, protective, and animating in war.
english translation
तमिद्धने॑षु हि॒तेष्व॑धिवा॒काय॑ हवन्ते । येषा॒मिन्द्र॒स्ते ज॑यन्ति ॥ तमिद्धनेषु हितेष्वधिवाकाय हवन्ते । येषामिन्द्रस्ते जयन्ति ॥
(His worshippers) invoke him to take part (in spoiling) the trasures deposited (with the foe); theyconquer, of whom Indra is (the partisan).
