ऋध॑गि॒त्था स मर्त्य॑: शश॒मे दे॒वता॑तये । यो नू॒नं मि॒त्रावरु॑णाव॒भिष्ट॑य आच॒क्रे ह॒व्यदा॑तये ॥ ऋधगित्था स मर्त्यः शशमे देवतातये । यो नूनं मित्रावरुणावभिष्टय आचक्रे हव्यदातये ॥
That man verily consecrates the oblation for the sacrifice, who brings quickly Mitra and Varuṇa to the offerer for the attainment of his desires.
english translation
वर्षि॑ष्ठक्षत्रा उरु॒चक्ष॑सा॒ नरा॒ राजा॑ना दीर्घ॒श्रुत्त॑मा । ता बा॒हुता॒ न दं॒सना॑ रथर्यतः सा॒कं सूर्य॑स्य र॒श्मिभि॑: ॥ वर्षिष्ठक्षत्रा उरुचक्षसा नरा राजाना दीर्घश्रुत्तमा । ता बाहुता न दंसना रथर्यतः साकं सूर्यस्य रश्मिभिः ॥
Those two leaders of rites, great in mite, far-seeing, resplendent, and most far-hearing, perform theirdeeds like two arms, by the help of the rays of the sun.
english translation
प्र यो वां॑ मित्रावरुणाजि॒रो दू॒तो अद्र॑वत् । अय॑:शीर्षा॒ मदे॑रघुः ॥ प्र यो वां मित्रावरुणाजिरो दूतो अद्रवत् । अयःशीर्षा मदेरघुः ॥
Mitra and Varuṇa, he who hastens to appear before you, becomes the messenger of the gods; hewears a metal helment, he exults in his wealth.
english translation
न यः स॒म्पृच्छे॒ न पुन॒र्हवी॑तवे॒ न सं॑वा॒दाय॒ रम॑ते । तस्मा॑न्नो अ॒द्य समृ॑तेरुरुष्यतं बा॒हुभ्यां॑ न उरुष्यतम् ॥ न यः सम्पृच्छे न पुनर्हवीतवे न संवादाय रमते । तस्मान्नो अद्य समृतेरुरुष्यतं बाहुभ्यां न उरुष्यतम् ॥
He who has no plural asure in questioning, nor in repeated calling nor in dialogue-- defend us today from him and from his encounter, defend us from his arms.
english translation
प्र मि॒त्राय॒ प्रार्य॒म्णे स॑च॒थ्य॑मृतावसो । व॒रू॒थ्यं१॒॑ वरु॑णे॒ छन्द्यं॒ वच॑: स्तो॒त्रं राज॑सु गायत ॥ प्र मित्राय प्रार्यम्णे सचथ्यमृतावसो । वरूथ्यं वरुणे छन्द्यं वचः स्तोत्रं राजसु गायत ॥
O you rich in offerings, sing to Mitra, sing to Aryaman, a reverential hymn produced in the sacrificialchamber; sing a propitiating address to Varuṇa; sing a hymn of praise to the kings.
