विश्वेत्ता ते॒ सव॑नेषु प्र॒वाच्या॒ या च॒कर्थ॑ मघवन्निन्द्र सुन्व॒ते । पारा॑वतं॒ यत्पु॑रुसम्भृ॒तं वस्व॒पावृ॑णोः शर॒भाय॒ ऋषि॑बन्धवे ॥ विश्वेत्ता ते सवनेषु प्रवाच्या या चकर्थ मघवन्निन्द्र सुन्वते । पारावतं यत्पुरुसम्भृतं वस्वपावृणोः शरभाय ऋषिबन्धवे ॥
Verily all those deeds of yours, Maghavan, are to be proclaimed, which you have achieved for him whooffers libations in the sacrifice; that wealth of Pārāvat, collected by many; you have opened to Śarabha, thekinsman of the Ṛṣi.
english translation
प्र नू॒नं धा॑वता॒ पृथ॒ङ्नेह यो वो॒ अवा॑वरीत् । नि षीं॑ वृ॒त्रस्य॒ मर्म॑णि॒ वज्र॒मिन्द्रो॑ अपीपतत् ॥ प्र नूनं धावता पृथङ्नेह यो वो अवावरीत् । नि षीं वृत्रस्य मर्मणि वज्रमिन्द्रो अपीपतत् ॥
Haste now severally forward; he is not here who stopped your way-- has not Indra let fall his thunderbolt in the very vitals of that enemy?
english translation
मनो॑जवा॒ अय॑मान आय॒सीम॑तर॒त्पुर॑म् । दिवं॑ सुप॒र्णो ग॒त्वाय॒ सोमं॑ व॒ज्रिण॒ आभ॑रत् ॥ मनोजवा अयमान आयसीमतरत्पुरम् । दिवं सुपर्णो गत्वाय सोमं वज्रिण आभरत् ॥
Suparṇa, rushing swift as thought, passed through the metal city; then having gone to heaven he brought the Soma to the thunderer.
english translation
स॒मु॒द्रे अ॒न्तः श॑यत उ॒द्ना वज्रो॑ अ॒भीवृ॑तः । भर॑न्त्यस्मै सं॒यत॑: पु॒रःप्र॑स्रवणा ब॒लिम् ॥ समुद्रे अन्तः शयत उद्ना वज्रो अभीवृतः । भरन्त्यस्मै संयतः पुरःप्रस्रवणा बलिम् ॥
The thunderbolt lies in the midst of the sea, covered with the waters; (the foes) flying in front of the battle bring offerings of submission to it.
english translation
यद्वाग्वद॑न्त्यविचेत॒नानि॒ राष्ट्री॑ दे॒वानां॑ निष॒साद॑ म॒न्द्रा । चत॑स्र॒ ऊर्जं॑ दुदुहे॒ पयां॑सि॒ क्व॑ स्विदस्याः पर॒मं ज॑गाम ॥ यद्वाग्वदन्त्यविचेतनानि राष्ट्री देवानां निषसाद मन्द्रा । चतस्र ऊर्जं दुदुहे पयांसि क्व स्विदस्याः परमं जगाम ॥
When Vāk, the queen, the gladdener of the gods, sits down (in the sacrifice) uttering things not to beunderstood, she milks water and food for the four quarters (of the earth); whither now is her best portion gone?
