मदे॑नेषि॒तं मद॑मु॒ग्रमु॒ग्रेण॒ शव॑सा । विश्वे॑षां तरु॒तारं॑ मद॒च्युतं॒ मदे॒ हि ष्मा॒ ददा॑ति नः ॥ मदेनेषितं मदमुग्रमुग्रेण शवसा । विश्वेषां तरुतारं मदच्युतं मदे हि ष्मा ददाति नः ॥
(May Indra drink) with invogorated strength, the strong exhilarating (Soma) offered with animating(laudation); for in his delight he gives us (a son) the overcomer of all (foes), the humbler of their pride.
english translation
शेवा॑रे॒ वार्या॑ पु॒रु दे॒वो मर्ता॑य दा॒शुषे॑ । स सु॑न्व॒ते च॑ स्तुव॒ते च॑ रासते वि॒श्वगू॑र्तो अरिष्टु॒तः ॥ शेवारे वार्या पुरु देवो मर्ताय दाशुषे । स सुन्वते च स्तुवते च रासते विश्वगूर्तो अरिष्टुतः ॥
The divine (Indra), the accomplisher of all aims, the glorified by his foes, gives vast treasures to themortal who presents offerings at the sacrifice, to him who pours out the libation, who hymns his praise.
english translation
एन्द्र॑ याहि॒ मत्स्व॑ चि॒त्रेण॑ देव॒ राध॑सा । सरो॒ न प्रा॑स्यु॒दरं॒ सपी॑तिभि॒रा सोमे॑भिरु॒रु स्फि॒रम् ॥ एन्द्र याहि मत्स्व चित्रेण देव राधसा । सरो न प्रास्युदरं सपीतिभिरा सोमेभिरुरु स्फिरम् ॥
Come here, Indra, be exhilarated by the wonderful (libatory) affluence and with your fellow-troopers (theMaruts) fill with the Soma your vast belly, capacious as a lake.
english translation
आ त्वा॑ स॒हस्र॒मा श॒तं यु॒क्ता रथे॑ हिर॒ण्यये॑ । ब्र॒ह्म॒युजो॒ हर॑य इन्द्र के॒शिनो॒ वह॑न्तु॒ सोम॑पीतये ॥ आ त्वा सहस्रमा शतं युक्ता रथे हिरण्यये । ब्रह्मयुजो हरय इन्द्र केशिनो वहन्तु सोमपीतये ॥
May your thousand, your hundred steeds, Indra yoke to your golden chariot, harnessed by prayer, withflowing manes, bring you to drink the Soma.
english translation
आ त्वा॒ रथे॑ हिर॒ण्यये॒ हरी॑ म॒यूर॑शेप्या । शि॒ति॒पृ॒ष्ठा व॑हतां॒ मध्वो॒ अन्ध॑सो वि॒वक्ष॑णस्य पी॒तये॑ ॥ आ त्वा रथे हिरण्यये हरी मयूरशेप्या । शितिपृष्ठा वहतां मध्वो अन्धसो विवक्षणस्य पीतये ॥
May your two peacock-tailed, white-backed horses, yoked to your golden chariot, bring you to drink ofthe sweet praiseworthy libation.
