उदु॒ ष्य दे॒वः स॑वि॒ता हि॑र॒ण्यया॑ बा॒हू अ॑यंस्त॒ सव॑नाय सु॒क्रतु॑: । घृ॒तेन॑ पा॒णी अ॒भि प्रु॑ष्णुते म॒खो युवा॑ सु॒दक्षो॒ रज॑सो॒ विध॑र्मणि ॥ उदु ष्य देवः सविता हिरण्यया बाहू अयंस्त सवनाय सुक्रतुः । घृतेन पाणी अभि प्रुष्णुते मखो युवा सुदक्षो रजसो विधर्मणि ॥
The divine and benevolent Savitā puts forth his golden arms for (making) donations; the adorable, youthful, sagacious (deity), stretches out his hands, filled with water, in the various services of the world.
english translation
दे॒वस्य॑ व॒यं स॑वि॒तुः सवी॑मनि॒ श्रेष्ठे॑ स्याम॒ वसु॑नश्च दा॒वने॑ । यो विश्व॑स्य द्वि॒पदो॒ यश्चतु॑ष्पदो नि॒वेश॑ने प्रस॒वे चासि॒ भूम॑नः ॥ देवस्य वयं सवितुः सवीमनि श्रेष्ठे स्याम वसुनश्च दावने । यो विश्वस्य द्विपदो यश्चतुष्पदो निवेशने प्रसवे चासि भूमनः ॥
May we be among the progeny of the divine Savitā, and (have power) to offer him most excellent donations; for you are he who (are absolute) in the procreation and perpetuation of many (living beings), bipeds and quadrupeds.
english translation
अद॑ब्धेभिः सवितः पा॒युभि॒ष्ट्वं शि॒वेभि॑र॒द्य परि॑ पाहि नो॒ गय॑म् । हिर॑ण्यजिह्वः सुवि॒ताय॒ नव्य॑से॒ रक्षा॒ माकि॑र्नो अ॒घशं॑स ईशत ॥ अदब्धेभिः सवितः पायुभिष्ट्वं शिवेभिरद्य परि पाहि नो गयम् । हिरण्यजिह्वः सुविताय नव्यसे रक्षा माकिर्नो अघशंस ईशत ॥
Do you, Savitā, posper today our dwelling with uninjurable protections, confirming happiness; do you, who are golden-tongued, (be vigilant) for our present prosperity; protect us; let not any calumniator have power (to harm) us.
english translation
उदु॒ ष्य दे॒वः स॑वि॒ता दमू॑ना॒ हिर॑ण्यपाणिः प्रतिदो॒षम॑स्थात् । अयो॑हनुर्यज॒तो म॒न्द्रजि॑ह्व॒ आ दा॒शुषे॑ सुवति॒ भूरि॑ वा॒मम् ॥ उदु ष्य देवः सविता दमूना हिरण्यपाणिः प्रतिदोषमस्थात् । अयोहनुर्यजतो मन्द्रजिह्व आ दाशुषे सुवति भूरि वामम् ॥
May the divine, munificent, golden-handed, golden-jawed, adorable, sweet-spoken Savitā, rise regularly at the close of night; when he besows abundant and desirable (food) upon the donor of the oblation.
english translation
उदू॑ अयाँ उपव॒क्तेव॑ बा॒हू हि॑र॒ण्यया॑ सवि॒ता सु॒प्रती॑का । दि॒वो रोहां॑स्यरुहत्पृथि॒व्या अरी॑रमत्प॒तय॒त्कच्चि॒दभ्व॑म् ॥ उदू अयाँ उपवक्तेव बाहू हिरण्यया सविता सुप्रतीका । दिवो रोहांस्यरुहत्पृथिव्या अरीरमत्पतयत्कच्चिदभ्वम् ॥
May Savitā put forth like an orator his golden well-formed arms; (he who), from the ends of the earth, ascends to the summit of the sky, and, moving along, delights every thing that is.
