दि॒वेदि॑वे स॒दृशी॑र॒न्यमर्धं॑ कृ॒ष्णा अ॑सेध॒दप॒ सद्म॑नो॒ जाः । अह॑न्दा॒सा वृ॑ष॒भो व॑स्न॒यन्तो॒दव्र॑जे व॒र्चिनं॒ शम्ब॑रं च ॥ दिवेदिवे सदृशीरन्यमर्धं कृष्णा असेधदप सद्मनो जाः । अहन्दासा वृषभो वस्नयन्तोदव्रजे वर्चिनं शम्बरं च ॥
Indra, becoming manifest from his abode (in the firmament), dissipates, day by day, the resembling glooms, (so that he may distinguish) the other portion, (or the day); and the showerer has slain the two wealth-seeking slaves, Varcin and Śambara, in (the country of) Udavraja.
