अ॒ग्ना यो मर्त्यो॒ दुवो॒ धियं॑ जु॒जोष॑ धी॒तिभि॑: । भस॒न्नु ष प्र पू॒र्व्य इषं॑ वुरी॒ताव॑से ॥ अग्ना यो मर्त्यो दुवो धियं जुजोष धीतिभिः । भसन्नु ष प्र पूर्व्य इषं वुरीतावसे ॥
May the mortal who propitiates Agni by devotion and worship, together with praises, quickly become distinguished as first (among men), and acquire ample food for the support (of his children).
english translation
अ॒ग्निरिद्धि प्रचे॑ता अ॒ग्निर्वे॒धस्त॑म॒ ऋषि॑: । अ॒ग्निं होता॑रमीळते य॒ज्ञेषु॒ मनु॑षो॒ विश॑: ॥ अग्निरिद्धि प्रचेता अग्निर्वेधस्तम ऋषिः । अग्निं होतारमीळते यज्ञेषु मनुषो विशः ॥
Agni verily is most wise; he is the chief performer of religious rites, a holy sage; the progeny of men glorify Agni as the invoker of the gods at sacrifices.
english translation
नाना॒ ह्य१॒॑ग्नेऽव॑से॒ स्पर्ध॑न्ते॒ रायो॑ अ॒र्यः । तूर्व॑न्तो॒ दस्यु॑मा॒यवो॑ व्र॒तैः सीक्ष॑न्तो अव्र॒तम् ॥ नाना ह्यग्नेऽवसे स्पर्धन्ते रायो अर्यः । तूर्वन्तो दस्युमायवो व्रतैः सीक्षन्तो अव्रतम् ॥
The manifold treasures of the enemy (detached from them) are emulous, Agni, for the preservation (of your worshippers); men who worship you, triumphing over the spoiler, seek to shame him who celebrates no sacred rite by (their) observances.
english translation
अ॒ग्निर॒प्सामृ॑ती॒षहं॑ वी॒रं द॑दाति॒ सत्प॑तिम् । यस्य॒ त्रस॑न्ति॒ शव॑सः सं॒चक्षि॒ शत्र॑वो भि॒या ॥ अग्निरप्सामृतीषहं वीरं ददाति सत्पतिम् । यस्य त्रसन्ति शवसः संचक्षि शत्रवो भिया ॥
Agni bestows (upon his worshippers) a male descendant, (the performer of good) works, the subduer of foes, the protector of the virtuous, at whose appearance his enemies tremble through fear of his prowess.
english translation
अ॒ग्निर्हि वि॒द्मना॑ नि॒दो दे॒वो मर्त॑मुरु॒ष्यति॑ । स॒हावा॒ यस्यावृ॑तो र॒यिर्वाजे॒ष्ववृ॑तः ॥ अग्निर्हि विद्मना निदो देवो मर्तमुरुष्यति । सहावा यस्यावृतो रयिर्वाजेष्ववृतः ॥
The mighty and divine Agni, endowed with knowledge, protects the mortal from reproach whose rich (offerings) are unobstructed (by evil spirits), and unshared by other (offerers) at sacrifices.
