बृ॒हद्वयो॒ हि भा॒नवेऽर्चा॑ दे॒वाया॒ग्नये॑ । यं मि॒त्रं न प्रश॑स्तिभि॒र्मर्ता॑सो दधि॒रे पु॒रः ॥ बृहद्वयो हि भानवेऽर्चा देवायाग्नये । यं मित्रं न प्रशस्तिभिर्मर्तासो दधिरे पुरः ॥
Offer abundant (sacrificial) food to the brilliant divine Agni, whom mortals have plural ced before them by praises as a friend.
english translation
स हि द्युभि॒र्जना॑नां॒ होता॒ दक्ष॑स्य बा॒ह्वोः । वि ह॒व्यम॒ग्निरा॑नु॒षग्भगो॒ न वार॑मृण्वति ॥ स हि द्युभिर्जनानां होता दक्षस्य बाह्वोः । वि हव्यमग्निरानुषग्भगो न वारमृण्वति ॥
For that Agni, (endowed) with the lustre of the strength of his arms, is the ministrant priest of mortals, who (presents) the oblation to the gods in succession, and like Bhaga distributes desirable wealth.
english translation
अ॒स्य स्तोमे॑ म॒घोन॑: स॒ख्ये वृ॒द्धशो॑चिषः । विश्वा॒ यस्मि॑न्तुवि॒ष्वणि॒ सम॒र्ये शुष्म॑माद॒धुः ॥ अस्य स्तोमे मघोनः सख्ये वृद्धशोचिषः । विश्वा यस्मिन्तुविष्वणि समर्ये शुष्ममादधुः ॥
(May we be assiduous) in the praise, (and cherished) in the friendship of that very radiant possessor of wealth, on whom, loud-sounding and all-ruling, (his) universal (worshippers) have conferred vigour.
english translation
अधा॒ ह्य॑ग्न एषां सु॒वीर्य॑स्य मं॒हना॑ । तमिद्य॒ह्वं न रोद॑सी॒ परि॒ श्रवो॑ बभूवतुः ॥ अधा ह्यग्न एषां सुवीर्यस्य मंहना । तमिद्यह्वं न रोदसी परि श्रवो बभूवतुः ॥
Now verily, Agni, (be disposed) for bestowing excellent strength on these (your worshippers); heaven and earth have invested him with glory like the vast (sun).
english translation
नू न॒ एहि॒ वार्य॒मग्ने॑ गृणा॒न आ भ॑र । ये व॒यं ये च॑ सू॒रय॑: स्व॒स्ति धाम॑हे॒ सचो॒तैधि॑ पृ॒त्सु नो॑ वृ॒धे ॥ नू न एहि वार्यमग्ने गृणान आ भर । ये वयं ये च सूरयः स्वस्ति धामहे सचोतैधि पृत्सु नो वृधे ॥
Glorified by us, Agni, come quickly, and bring us desirable wealth; we who (are your worshippers) we (who are your) adorers, offer you welcome together with oblations; be you favourable to us; be (our) success in battles.
