म॒हो रु॑जामि ब॒न्धुता॒ वचो॑भि॒स्तन्मा॑ पि॒तुर्गोत॑मा॒दन्वि॑याय । त्वं नो॑ अ॒स्य वच॑सश्चिकिद्धि॒ होत॑र्यविष्ठ सुक्रतो॒ दमू॑नाः ॥ महो रुजामि बन्धुता वचोभिस्तन्मा पितुर्गोतमादन्वियाय । त्वं नो अस्य वचसश्चिकिद्धि होतर्यविष्ठ सुक्रतो दमूनाः ॥
Invoker (of the gods), young (of the deities) possessed of excellent wisdom, through the alliance (with you produced) by holy texts, which came to me from my father Gotama, I demolish the powerful (demons); do you who are the humbler (of foes), be cognizant of our praises.
english translation
अस्व॑प्नजस्त॒रण॑यः सु॒शेवा॒ अत॑न्द्रासोऽवृ॒का अश्र॑मिष्ठाः । ते पा॒यव॑: स॒ध्र्य॑ञ्चो नि॒षद्याग्ने॒ तव॑ नः पान्त्वमूर ॥ अस्वप्नजस्तरणयः सुशेवा अतन्द्रासोऽवृका अश्रमिष्ठाः । ते पायवः सध्र्यञ्चो निषद्याग्ने तव नः पान्त्वमूर ॥
All-wise Agni, may your protecting (rays), unslumbering alert, propitious, unslothful, benignant, unwearied, co-operating, having taken their plural ce (at this sacrifice), preserve us.
english translation
ये पा॒यवो॑ मामते॒यं ते॑ अग्ने॒ पश्य॑न्तो अ॒न्धं दु॑रि॒तादर॑क्षन् । र॒रक्ष॒ तान्त्सु॒कृतो॑ वि॒श्ववे॑दा॒ दिप्स॑न्त॒ इद्रि॒पवो॒ नाह॑ देभुः ॥ ये पायवो मामतेयं ते अग्ने पश्यन्तो अन्धं दुरितादरक्षन् । ररक्ष तान्त्सुकृतो विश्ववेदा दिप्सन्त इद्रिपवो नाह देभुः ॥
Those your protecting (rays), Agni, which, beholding (what had chanced), preserved the blind son of Mamatā from misfortune; he, knowing all things, cherished those benevolent (rays), and his enemies, intending to destroy him, wrought him no harm.
english translation
त्वया॑ व॒यं स॑ध॒न्य१॒॑स्त्वोता॒स्तव॒ प्रणी॑त्यश्याम॒ वाजा॑न् । उ॒भा शंसा॑ सूदय सत्यतातेऽनुष्ठु॒या कृ॑णुह्यह्रयाण ॥ त्वया वयं सधन्यस्त्वोतास्तव प्रणीत्यश्याम वाजान् । उभा शंसा सूदय सत्यतातेऽनुष्ठुया कृणुह्यह्रयाण ॥
Agni, who are freed from shame, by you we are made opulent; by you we are protected; may we, through your guidance, attain abundant food; cherisher of truth, destroy both (sorts of calumniators), those who are nigh, those who are far off, and in due course fulfil (our desires).
english translation
अ॒या ते॑ अग्ने स॒मिधा॑ विधेम॒ प्रति॒ स्तोमं॑ श॒स्यमा॑नं गृभाय । दहा॒शसो॑ र॒क्षस॑: पा॒ह्य१॒॑स्मान्द्रु॒हो नि॒दो मि॑त्रमहो अव॒द्यात् ॥ अया ते अग्ने समिधा विधेम प्रति स्तोमं शस्यमानं गृभाय । दहाशसो रक्षसः पाह्यस्मान्द्रुहो निदो मित्रमहो अवद्यात् ॥
May we propitiate you, Agni, by this fuel; accept the praise that is recited by us; consume the unadoring rākṣasas; you are to be honoured by (your) friends, preserve us from the reproach of the oppressor and the reviler.
