इ॒मं म॒हे वि॑द॒थ्या॑य शू॒षं शश्व॒त्कृत्व॒ ईड्या॑य॒ प्र ज॑भ्रुः । शृ॒णोतु॑ नो॒ दम्ये॑भि॒रनी॑कैः शृ॒णोत्व॒ग्निर्दि॒व्यैरज॑स्रः ॥ इमं महे विदथ्याय शूषं शश्वत्कृत्व ईड्याय प्र जभ्रुः । शृणोतु नो दम्येभिरनीकैः शृणोत्वग्निर्दिव्यैरजस्रः ॥
They recite repeatedly this gratifying praise to the great product of sacrifice (Agni); may he who is (endowed) with domestic radiance hear us; may the imperishable Agni, (endowed) with divine radiance, hear us.
english translation
महि॑ म॒हे दि॒वे अ॑र्चा पृथि॒व्यै कामो॑ म इ॒च्छञ्च॑रति प्रजा॒नन् । ययो॑र्ह॒ स्तोमे॑ वि॒दथे॑षु दे॒वाः स॑प॒र्यवो॑ मा॒दय॑न्ते॒ सचा॒योः ॥ महि महे दिवे अर्चा पृथिव्यै कामो म इच्छञ्चरति प्रजानन् । ययोर्ह स्तोमे विदथेषु देवाः सपर्यवो मादयन्ते सचायोः ॥
Knowing their greatness, offer worship to the vast heaven and to the earth; my desire, wishing (for felicity) proceed (to them), in whose praise the gods,desirous of adoration, delight together with their worshippers at the sacrifice.
english translation
यु॒वोॠ॒तं रो॑दसी स॒त्यम॑स्तु म॒हे षु ण॑: सुवि॒ताय॒ प्र भू॑तम् । इ॒दं दि॒वे नमो॑ अग्ने पृथि॒व्यै स॑प॒र्यामि॒ प्रय॑सा॒ यामि॒ रत्न॑म् ॥ युवोॠतं रोदसी सत्यमस्तु महे षु णः सुविताय प्र भूतम् । इदं दिवे नमो अग्ने पृथिव्यै सपर्यामि प्रयसा यामि रत्नम् ॥
Heaven and earth, may your truth be ever inviolable; be propitious to us for the due completion of the rite; this adoration (Agni) is offered to heaven and earth; I worship (them) with (sacrificial) food; I solicit of them precious (wealth).
english translation
उ॒तो हि वां॑ पू॒र्व्या आ॑विवि॒द्र ऋता॑वरी रोदसी सत्य॒वाच॑: । नर॑श्चिद्वां समि॒थे शूर॑सातौ ववन्दि॒रे पृ॑थिवि॒ वेवि॑दानाः ॥ उतो हि वां पूर्व्या आविविद्र ऋतावरी रोदसी सत्यवाचः । नरश्चिद्वां समिथे शूरसातौ ववन्दिरे पृथिवि वेविदानाः ॥
Heaven and earth, endowed with truth, they who are the ancient declarers of the truth, have obtained from you (what they desired); and so, earth, men cognizant (of the greaness of you both) have worshipped you for the sake of triumphing over (hostile) heroes in battle.
english translation
को अ॒द्धा वे॑द॒ क इ॒ह प्र वो॑चद्दे॒वाँ अच्छा॑ प॒थ्या॒३॒॑ का समे॑ति । ददृ॑श्र एषामव॒मा सदां॑सि॒ परे॑षु॒ या गुह्ये॑षु व्र॒तेषु॑ ॥ को अद्धा वेद क इह प्र वोचद्देवाँ अच्छा पथ्या का समेति । ददृश्र एषामवमा सदांसि परेषु या गुह्येषु व्रतेषु ॥
Who knows what is the truth, or who may here declare it? What is the proper path that leads to the gods? Their inferior abiding plural ces are beheld, as are those which (are situated) in superior mysterious rites.
