सं घोष॑: शृण्वेऽव॒मैर॒मित्रै॑र्ज॒ही न्ये॑ष्व॒शनिं॒ तपि॑ष्ठाम् । वृ॒श्चेम॒धस्ता॒द्वि रु॑जा॒ सह॑स्व ज॒हि रक्षो॑ मघवन्र॒न्धय॑स्व ॥ सं घोषः शृण्वेऽवमैरमित्रैर्जही न्येष्वशनिं तपिष्ठाम् । वृश्चेमधस्ताद्वि रुजा सहस्व जहि रक्षो मघवन्रन्धयस्व ॥
The sound (of your bolt) has been heard by the approaching foes; hurl upon them the consuming thunder-bolt, cut them up by the root, oppose; Maghavan, overcome, slay the rākṣasas, complete (the sacrifice).
english translation
उद्वृ॑ह॒ रक्ष॑: स॒हमू॑लमिन्द्र वृ॒श्चा मध्यं॒ प्रत्यग्रं॑ शृणीहि । आ कीव॑तः सल॒लूकं॑ चकर्थ ब्रह्म॒द्विष्॒ तपु॑षिं हे॒तिम॑स्य ॥ उद्वृह रक्षः सहमूलमिन्द्र वृश्चा मध्यं प्रत्यग्रं शृणीहि । आ कीवतः सललूकं चकर्थ ब्रह्मद्विषे तपुषिं हेतिमस्य ॥
Pluck the rākṣasas, Indra, by the root; cut as under the middle, blight the summit; to whatever remote (regions) you have driven the sinner, cast upon the enemy of the Veda your consuming weapon.
english translation
स्व॒स्तये॑ वा॒जिभि॑श्च प्रणेत॒: सं यन्म॒हीरिष॑ आ॒सत्सि॑ पू॒र्वीः । रा॒यो व॒न्तारो॑ बृह॒तः स्या॑मा॒स्मे अ॑स्तु॒ भग॑ इन्द्र प्र॒जावा॑न् ॥ स्वस्तये वाजिभिश्च प्रणेतः सं यन्महीरिष आसत्सि पूर्वीः । रायो वन्तारो बृहतः स्यामास्मे अस्तु भग इन्द्र प्रजावान् ॥
Regulator (of the world, provide us) with horses for our welfare, and when you are seated near to us may we become mighty, enjoying abundant food, and ample riches, and may there be to us wealth accompanied by progeny.
english translation
आ नो॑ भर॒ भग॑मिन्द्र द्यु॒मन्तं॒ नि ते॑ दे॒ष्णस्य॑ धीमहि प्ररे॒के । ऊ॒र्व इ॑व पप्रथे॒ कामो॑ अ॒स्मे तमा पृ॑ण वसुपते॒ वसू॑नाम् ॥ आ नो भर भगमिन्द्र द्युमन्तं नि ते देष्णस्य धीमहि प्ररेके । ऊर्व इव पप्रथे कामो अस्मे तमा पृण वसुपते वसूनाम् ॥
Bring to us, Indra, splendid affluence; we rely on the bounty of you who are fond of giving; our desire is as insatiable as the fire of the ocean; appease it, lord of infinite riches.
english translation
इ॒मं कामं॑ मन्दया॒ गोभि॒रश्वै॑श्च॒न्द्रव॑ता॒ राध॑सा प॒प्रथ॑श्च । स्व॒र्यवो॑ म॒तिभि॒स्तुभ्यं॒ विप्रा॒ इन्द्रा॑य॒ वाह॑: कुशि॒कासो॑ अक्रन् ॥ इमं कामं मन्दया गोभिरश्वैश्चन्द्रवता राधसा पप्रथश्च । स्वर्यवो मतिभिस्तुभ्यं विप्रा इन्द्राय वाहः कुशिकासो अक्रन् ॥
Gratify this our desire (of wealth) with cows, with horses, with shining treasure, and make us renowned; the wise Kuśikas, desirous of heaven, offer praise to you Indra, with pious (prayers).
