तं स॒बाधो॑ य॒तस्रु॑च इ॒त्था धि॒या य॒ज्ञव॑न्तः । आ च॑क्रुर॒ग्निमू॒तये॑ ॥ तं सबाधो यतस्रुच इत्था धिया यज्ञवन्तः । आ चक्रुरग्निमूतये ॥

The exorcisers (of the demons), lifting up their ladles, and offering sacrifice, have called upon Agni by this ceremony for their protection.

english translation

होता॑ दे॒वो अम॑र्त्यः पु॒रस्ता॑देति मा॒यया॑ । वि॒दथा॑नि प्रचो॒दय॑न् ॥ होता देवो अमर्त्यः पुरस्तादेति मायया । विदथानि प्रचोदयन् ॥

The offerer of the oblation, the divine, immortal, Agni, comes first (at the ceremony) directing solemnities by his experiences.

english translation

वा॒जी वाजे॑षु धीयतेऽध्व॒रेषु॒ प्र णी॑यते । विप्रो॑ य॒ज्ञस्य॒ साध॑नः ॥ वाजी वाजेषु धीयतेऽध्वरेषु प्र णीयते । विप्रो यज्ञस्य साधनः ॥

The mighty Agni is plural ced (foremost by the gods) in battle; he is brought forward reverently at holy rites; for he is the sage fulfiller of the sacrifice.

english translation

धि॒या च॑क्रे॒ वरे॑ण्यो भू॒तानां॒ गर्भ॒मा द॑धे । दक्ष॑स्य पि॒तरं॒ तना॑ ॥ धिया चक्रे वरेण्यो भूतानां गर्भमा दधे । दक्षस्य पितरं तना ॥

He who has been made by the sacred rite, the choice (of the worshipper), who comprehends (within himself) the germ of all creatures, and whom the daughter of Dakṣa (receives) as the parent of the world.

नि त्वा॑ दधे॒ वरे॑ण्यं॒ दक्ष॑स्ये॒ळा स॑हस्कृत । अग्ने॑ सुदी॒तिमु॒शिज॑म् ॥ नि त्वा दधे वरेण्यं दक्षस्येळा सहस्कृत । अग्ने सुदीतिमुशिजम् ॥

Agni, strength-engendered, Iḷā (the daughter) of Dakṣa has sustained you, the desirable, the resplendent, and longing (for the oblation).
