त्वाम॑ग्ने मनी॒षिण॑: स॒म्राजं॑ चर्षणी॒नाम् । दे॒वं मर्ता॑स इन्धते॒ सम॑ध्व॒रे ॥ त्वामग्ने मनीषिणः सम्राजं चर्षणीनाम् । देवं मर्तास इन्धते समध्वरे ॥

You, the king of men; Agni, the divine; prudent mortals kindle you at the sacrifice.

english translation

tvAma॑gne manI॒SiNa॑: sa॒mrAjaM॑ carSaNI॒nAm | de॒vaM martA॑sa indhate॒ sama॑dhva॒re || tvAmagne manISiNaH samrAjaM carSaNInAm | devaM martAsa indhate samadhvare ||

They praise you as the priest, the invoker (of the gods) at sacrifice; shine forth the protector of the pious rite in your own abode.

He verily who presents oblations to you, the knower of all things, he acquires (Agni) excellent progeny; he prospers.

May (Agni), the banner (flag) of sacrifices, offering oblations on the part of the worshiper through (the ministry of) the seven offering priests, come hither with the gods.

Offer to the ministering Agni as if to the Creator (of the world), the great praise recited of old, for the sake of animating the energies of the pious (worshipper).
