प्र हि क्रतुं॑ वृ॒हथो॒ यं व॑नु॒थो र॒ध्रस्य॑ स्थो॒ यज॑मानस्य चो॒दौ । इन्द्रा॑सोमा यु॒वम॒स्माँ अ॑विष्टम॒स्मिन्भ॒यस्थे॑ कृणुतमु लो॒कम् ॥ प्र हि क्रतुं वृहथो यं वनुथो रध्रस्य स्थो यजमानस्य चोदौ । इन्द्रासोमा युवमस्माँ अविष्टमस्मिन्भयस्थे कृणुतमु लोकम् ॥
Indra and Soma, eradicate the worker (of evil), whom you hate; be the encouragers of the liberal instrumental tutor of the rite; protect us in this plural ce of peril, and make the world (free from fear).
english translation
न मा॑ तम॒न्न श्र॑म॒न्नोत त॑न्द्र॒न्न वो॑चाम॒ मा सु॑नो॒तेति॒ सोम॑म् । यो मे॑ पृ॒णाद्यो दद॒द्यो नि॒बोधा॒द्यो मा॑ सु॒न्वन्त॒मुप॒ गोभि॒राय॑त् ॥ न मा तमन्न श्रमन्नोत तन्द्रन्न वोचाम मा सुनोतेति सोमम् । यो मे पृणाद्यो ददद्यो निबोधाद्यो मा सुन्वन्तमुप गोभिरायत् ॥
Let not Indra vexme, or weary me, or make me slothful; never may we say (to another), do not offer the Soma; (for it is Indra) who will fulfil (my wishes), who will give (me riches), who will hear (my prayers), who will reward me, presenting libations, with cattle.
english translation
सर॑स्वति॒ त्वम॒स्माँ अ॑विड्ढि म॒रुत्व॑ती धृष॒ती जे॑षि॒ शत्रू॑न् । त्यं चि॒च्छर्ध॑न्तं तविषी॒यमा॑ण॒मिन्द्रो॑ हन्ति वृष॒भं शण्डि॑कानाम् ॥ सरस्वति त्वमस्माँ अविड्ढि मरुत्वती धृषती जेषि शत्रून् । त्यं चिच्छर्धन्तं तविषीयमाणमिन्द्रो हन्ति वृषभं शण्डिकानाम् ॥
Sarasvatī, do you protect us; associated with the Maruts and firm (of purpose), overcome our foes, whiilst Indra slays the chief of the Śaṇḍikas, defying him and confiding in his strength.
english translation
यो न॒: सनु॑त्य उ॒त वा॑ जिघ॒त्नुर॑भि॒ख्याय॒ तं ति॑गि॒तेन॑ विध्य । बृह॑स्पत॒ आयु॑धैर्जेषि॒ शत्रू॑न्द्रु॒हे रीष॑न्तं॒ परि॑ धेहि राजन् ॥ यो नः सनुत्य उत वा जिघत्नुरभिख्याय तं तिगितेन विध्य । बृहस्पत आयुधैर्जेषि शत्रून्द्रुहे रीषन्तं परि धेहि राजन् ॥
Detecting him who is lying in ambush (against us), who is purposing our death, pierce him, Bṛhaspati, with your sharp (thunderbolt), and overthrow (our) enemies with (your) weapons; hurl, monarch, your destroying (shaft) against the oppressor.
english translation
अ॒स्माके॑भि॒: सत्व॑भिः शूर॒ शूरै॑र्वी॒र्या॑ कृधि॒ यानि॑ ते॒ कर्त्वा॑नि । ज्योग॑भूव॒न्ननु॑धूपितासो ह॒त्वी तेषा॒मा भ॑रा नो॒ वसू॑नि ॥ अस्माकेभिः सत्वभिः शूर शूरैर्वीर्या कृधि यानि ते कर्त्वानि । ज्योगभूवन्ननुधूपितासो हत्वी तेषामा भरा नो वसूनि ॥
Achieve, hero, along with our valiant heroes, the exploits that are to be achieved by you; long have (our enemies) been inflated (with pride); slay them, and bring to us their treasures.
