उषो॑ भ॒द्रेभि॒रा ग॑हि दि॒वश्चि॑द्रोच॒नादधि॑ । वह॑न्त्वरु॒णप्स॑व॒ उप॑ त्वा सो॒मिनो॑ गृ॒हम् ॥ उषो भद्रेभिरा गहि दिवश्चिद्रोचनादधि । वहन्त्वरुणप्सव उप त्वा सोमिनो गृहम् ॥

sanskrit

Uṣas, come by auspicious ways from above the bright (region of the) firmament; let the purple (kine) bring you to the dwelling of the offerr of Soma.

english translation

uSo॑ bha॒drebhi॒rA ga॑hi di॒vazci॑droca॒nAdadhi॑ | vaha॑ntvaru॒Napsa॑va॒ upa॑ tvA so॒mino॑ gR॒ham || uSo bhadrebhirA gahi divazcidrocanAdadhi | vahantvaruNapsava upa tvA somino gRham ||

सु॒पेश॑सं सु॒खं रथं॒ यम॒ध्यस्था॑ उष॒स्त्वम् । तेना॑ सु॒श्रव॑सं॒ जनं॒ प्रावा॒द्य दु॑हितर्दिवः ॥ सुपेशसं सुखं रथं यमध्यस्था उषस्त्वम् । तेना सुश्रवसं जनं प्रावाद्य दुहितर्दिवः ॥

Uṣas, in the ample and beautiful chariot in which you ride, come today, daughter of heaven, to the pious offerer of the oblation.

english translation

su॒peza॑saM su॒khaM rathaM॒ yama॒dhyasthA॑ uSa॒stvam | tenA॑ su॒zrava॑saM॒ janaM॒ prAvA॒dya du॑hitardivaH || supezasaM sukhaM rathaM yamadhyasthA uSastvam | tenA suzravasaM janaM prAvAdya duhitardivaH ||

वय॑श्चित्ते पत॒त्रिणो॑ द्वि॒पच्चतु॑ष्पदर्जुनि । उष॒: प्रार॑न्नृ॒तूँरनु॑ दि॒वो अन्ते॑भ्य॒स्परि॑ ॥ वयश्चित्ते पतत्रिणो द्विपच्चतुष्पदर्जुनि । उषः प्रारन्नृतूँरनु दिवो अन्तेभ्यस्परि ॥

White-complexioned Uṣas, upon your coming, bipeds and quadrupeds (are in motion), and the winged birds flock around from the boundaries of the sky.

व्यु॒च्छन्ती॒ हि र॒श्मिभि॒र्विश्व॑मा॒भासि॑ रोच॒नम् । तां त्वामु॑षर्वसू॒यवो॑ गी॒र्भिः कण्वा॑ अहूषत ॥ व्युच्छन्ती हि रश्मिभिर्विश्वमाभासि रोचनम् । तां त्वामुषर्वसूयवो गीर्भिः कण्वा अहूषत ॥

You, Uṣas, dispersing the darkness, illumine the shining universe with your rays; such as you are, Kaṇvas, desirous of wealth, praise you with their hymns.

vyu॒cchantI॒ hi ra॒zmibhi॒rvizva॑mA॒bhAsi॑ roca॒nam | tAM tvAmu॑SarvasU॒yavo॑ gI॒rbhiH kaNvA॑ ahUSata || vyucchantI hi razmibhirvizvamAbhAsi rocanam | tAM tvAmuSarvasUyavo gIrbhiH kaNvA ahUSata ||
