को वो॒ वर्षि॑ष्ठ॒ आ न॑रो दि॒वश्च॒ ग्मश्च॑ धूतयः । यत्सी॒मन्तं॒ न धू॑नु॒थ ॥ को वो वर्षिष्ठ आ नरो दिवश्च ग्मश्च धूतयः । यत्सीमन्तं न धूनुथ ॥
Which is the chief leader among you, agitators of heaven and earth, who shake all around like the top (of a tree)?
english translation
ko vo॒ varSi॑STha॒ A na॑ro di॒vazca॒ gmazca॑ dhUtayaH । yatsI॒mantaM॒ na dhU॑nu॒tha ॥ ko vo varSiSTha A naro divazca gmazca dhUtayaH । yatsImantaM na dhUnutha ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनि वो॒ यामा॑य॒ मानु॑षो द॒ध्र उ॒ग्राय॑ म॒न्यवे॑ । जिही॑त॒ पर्व॑तो गि॒रिः ॥ नि वो यामाय मानुषो दध्र उग्राय मन्यवे । जिहीत पर्वतो गिरिः ॥
The house-holder, in dread of your fierce and violent approach, has plural nted a firm (buttress); for the many-ridged mountain is shattered (before you).

ni vo॒ yAmA॑ya॒ mAnu॑So da॒dhra u॒grAya॑ ma॒nyave॑ । jihI॑ta॒ parva॑to gi॒riH ॥ ni vo yAmAya mAnuSo dadhra ugrAya manyave । jihIta parvato giriH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयेषा॒मज्मे॑षु पृथि॒वी जु॑जु॒र्वाँ इ॑व वि॒श्पति॑: । भि॒या यामे॑षु॒ रेज॑ते ॥ येषामज्मेषु पृथिवी जुजुर्वाँ इव विश्पतिः । भिया यामेषु रेजते ॥
At whose impetuous approach, earth trembles like an enfeebled monarch through dread (of his enemies).

yeSA॒majme॑Su pRthi॒vI ju॑ju॒rvA~ i॑va vi॒zpati॑: । bhi॒yA yAme॑Su॒ reja॑te ॥ yeSAmajmeSu pRthivI jujurvA~ iva vizpatiH । bhiyA yAmeSu rejate ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस्थि॒रं हि जान॑मेषां॒ वयो॑ मा॒तुर्निरे॑तवे । यत्सी॒मनु॑ द्वि॒ता शव॑: ॥ स्थिरं हि जानमेषां वयो मातुर्निरेतवे । यत्सीमनु द्विता शवः ॥
Stable is their birth plural ce, (the sky), yet the birds (are able) to issue from (the sphere of) their parent; for your strength is everywhere (divided between two--regions, or heaven and earth.

sthi॒raM hi jAna॑meSAM॒ vayo॑ mA॒turnire॑tave । yatsI॒manu॑ dvi॒tA zava॑: ॥ sthiraM hi jAnameSAM vayo mAturniretave । yatsImanu dvitA zavaH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउदु॒ त्ये सू॒नवो॒ गिर॒: काष्ठा॒ अज्मे॑ष्वत्नत । वा॒श्रा अ॑भि॒ज्ञु यात॑वे ॥ उदु त्ये सूनवो गिरः काष्ठा अज्मेष्वत्नत । वाश्रा अभिज्ञु यातवे ॥
They are the genitive rations of speech; they spread out the waters in their courses; they urge the lowing (cattle) to enter (the water) up to their knees (to drink).
