अतो॑ दे॒वा अ॑वन्तु नो॒ यतो॒ विष्णु॑र्विचक्र॒मे । पृ॒थि॒व्याः स॒प्त धाम॑भिः ॥ अतो देवा अवन्तु नो यतो विष्णुर्विचक्रमे । पृथिव्याः सप्त धामभिः ॥
May the gods preserve us (from that portion) of the earth whence Viṣṇu (aided) by the seven metres, stepped.
english translation
इ॒दं विष्णु॒र्वि च॑क्रमे त्रे॒धा नि द॑धे प॒दम् । समू॑ळ्हमस्य पांसु॒रे ॥ इदं विष्णुर्वि चक्रमे त्रेधा नि दधे पदम् । समूळ्हमस्य पांसुरे ॥
Viṣṇu traversed this (world); three times he plural nted his foot and the whole (world) was collected in the dust of his (footstep).
english translation
त्रीणि॑ प॒दा वि च॑क्रमे॒ विष्णु॑र्गो॒पा अदा॑भ्यः । अतो॒ धर्मा॑णि धा॒रय॑न् ॥ त्रीणि पदा वि चक्रमे विष्णुर्गोपा अदाभ्यः । अतो धर्माणि धारयन् ॥
Viṣṇu, the preserver, the uninjurable, stepped three steps, upholding thereby righteous acts.
english translation
विष्णो॒: कर्मा॑णि पश्यत॒ यतो॑ व्र॒तानि॑ पस्प॒शे । इन्द्र॑स्य॒ युज्य॒: सखा॑ ॥ विष्णोः कर्माणि पश्यत यतो व्रतानि पस्पशे । इन्द्रस्य युज्यः सखा ॥
Behold the deeds of Viṣṇu, through which (the worshipper) has accomplished (pious) vows; he is the worthy friend of Indra.
english translation
तद्विष्णो॑: पर॒मं प॒दं सदा॑ पश्यन्ति सू॒रय॑: । दि॒वी॑व॒ चक्षु॒रात॑तम् ॥ तद्विष्णोः परमं पदं सदा पश्यन्ति सूरयः । दिवीव चक्षुराततम् ॥
The wise ever contemplate that supreme station of Viṣṇu, as the eye ranges over the sky.
