राजा हि वृद्धः सन्तापं त्वदर्थमुपयास्यति । तस्माद्गमनमद्यैव रोचते तव पार्थिव ॥ 7-38-11 ॥
"The king is indeed aged, and on your account he will fall into distress; therefore, O sovereign, it seems best that your departure take place this very day."
english translation
लक्ष्मणेनानुयात्रेण पृष्ठतो ऽनुगमिष्यते । धनमादाय विपुलं रत्नानि विविधानि च ॥ 7-38-12 ॥
He shall be followed from behind by Lakshmana as his escort, taking with him abundant wealth and jewels of various kinds.
english translation
युधाजित्तु तथेत्याह गमनं प्रति राघवम् । रत्नानि च धनं चैव त्वय्येवाक्षय्यमस्त्विति ॥ 7-38-13 ॥
But Yudhajit said "So be it" regarding his departure, and addressed Raghava: "Let these jewels and this wealth remain inexhaustibly with you alone."
english translation
प्रदक्षिणं स राजानं कृत्वा केकयवर्धनः । रामेण हि कृतः पूर्वमभिवाद्य प्रदक्षिणम् ॥ 7-38-14 ॥
That increaser of the Kekayas' glory then circumambulated the king; for Rama had first saluted him and circumambulated him in reverence.
english translation
लक्ष्मणेन सहायेन प्रयातः केकयेश्वरः । हते ऽसुरे यथा वृत्रे विष्णुना सह वासवः ॥ 7-38-15 ॥
The lord of the Kekayas set out with Lakshmana as his companion, as Vasava (Indra) went forth together with Vishnu when the demon Vritra had been slain.
