एवमुक्त्वा दशग्रीवो मुनिं तमभिवाद्य च । प्रययौ दक्षिणामाशां प्रविष्टः सह मन्त्रिभिः ॥ 7-20-26 ॥
Having spoken thus, Dashagriva saluted that sage and, accompanied by his ministers, proceeded into the southern quarter.
english translation
नारदस्तु महातेजा मुहूर्तं ध्यानमास्थितः । चिन्तयामास विप्रेन्द्रो विधूम इव पावकः ॥ 7-20-27 ॥
But Narada of great splendor, the foremost among the twice-born, remained absorbed in meditation for a moment and reflected, like a fire without smoke.
english translation
येन लोकास्त्रयः सेन्द्राः क्लिश्यन्ते सचराचराः । क्षीणे चायुषि धर्मेण स कालो जेष्यते कथम् ॥ 7-20-28 ॥
"He by whom the three worlds together with Indra, with all that moves and moves not, are afflicted, and who claims them when their lifespan is rightfully exhausted — how shall that Kala (Yama, Time) be conquered?"
english translation
स्वदत्तकृतसाक्षी यो द्वितीय इव पावकः । लब्धसञ्ज्ञा विजेष्यन्ते लोका यस्य महात्मनः ॥ 7-20-29 ॥
"He who is the witness of what each being has given and done, who is like a second fire — by him are the worlds vanquished, even when they have regained their senses; they are subject to that great-souled one."
english translation
यस्य नित्यं त्रयो लोका विद्रवन्ति भयार्दिताः । तं कथं राक्षसेन्द्रो ऽसौ स्वयमेव गमिष्यति ॥ 7-20-30 ॥
"He from whom the three worlds, stricken with fear, perpetually flee — how shall this lord of the Rakshasas go against him of his own accord?"
