सर्वेषु लग्नेष्वपि सत्सु चन्द्र- लग्नं प्रधानं खलु गोचरेषु । तस्मात्तदृक्षादपि वर्तमान्- ग्रहेन्द्रचारैः कथयेत्फलानि ॥ १॥
Of all the Lagnas it is only the Moon's Lagna that is most important for ascertaining the Gocharaphala . One ought therefore to calculate and predict from the Moon's place to predict the effects due to the transits of planets through the several signs counted from that of the Moon.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptसूर्यः षट्त्रिदशस्थितस्त्रिदशषट्सप्ताद्यगश्चन्द्रमाः जीवस्त्वस्ततपोद्विपंचमगतो वक्रार्कजौ षट्त्रिगौ । सौम्यः षट्स्वचतुर्दशाष्टमगतः सर्वेऽप्युपान्तस्थिताः शुक्रः खास्तरिपून्विहाय शुभदस्तिग्मांशुवद्भोगिनौ ॥ २॥
During transit, the Sun gives good results when he is in the 6 th, 3 rd and 10 th houses (counted from the Moon), the Moon in the 3 rd, 10 th, 6 th, 7 th and 1 st ; Jupiter in the 7 th, 9 th, 2 nd and 5 th Mars and Saturn in the 6 th and 3 rd ; Mercury in the 6 th, 2 nd, 4 th, 10 th and 8 th ; all planets in the 11 th ; Venus in all places other than the 10 th, 7 th and 6 th. Rahu and Ketu are similar to the Sun.

The Sun is declared auspicious when he transits the 11 th, 3 rd, 10 th and 6 th, if, at the time, the corresponding Vedha places, vis, the 5 th, 9 th, 4 th and 12 th respectively are not marred by the any of the planets other than Saturn.

lAbhavikramakhazatraSu sthitaH zobhano nigadito divAkaraH । khecaraiH sutatapojalAntyagaiH vyArkibhiryadi na viddhyate tadA ॥ 3॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptद्यूनजन्मरिपुलाभखत्रिगः चन्द्रमाः शुभफलप्रदः सदा । स्वात्मजान्त्यमृतिबन्धुधर्मगै विध्द्यते न विबुधैर्यदि ग्रहैह् ॥ ४॥
The Moon will produce good effect when she transits the 7 th, 1 st, 6 th, 11 th, 10 th and 3 rd if planets other than Mercury do not transit the corresponding Vedha places, i.e, 2 nd, 5 th, 12 th, 8 th, 4 th and the 9 th.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptविक्रमायरिपुगः कुजः शुभः स्यात्तदान्त्यसुतधर्मगैः खगैः । चेन्न विद्ध इनसूनुरप्यसौ किन्तु धर्मधृणना न विध्द्यते ॥ ५॥
Mars in the 3 rd, 11 th and 6 th will give good effect if the 12 th, 5 th and 9 th places respectively are free from the transit of other planets at the time. The same remark applies to Saturn, but in this case the effect will not be marred if the Sun should transit at the time the corresponding Vedha places.
