तदर्थ एव दृश्यस्यात्मा॥२-२१॥
The experience of that seen is for the sake of seer only. There is no other objective for that (Prakriti)

उक्त दृश्य का स्वरूप उस द्रष्टा के लिए ही है ।उसका और कोई प्रयोजन अर्थात उद्देश्य नहीं है ।

tadartha eva dRzyasyAtmA॥2-21॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकृतार्थं प्रति नष्टमप्यनष्टं तदन्यसाधारणत्वात्॥२-२२॥
For those who are liberated, this Prakriti (seen) is as if it has been destroyed as it has no purpose for them. But for other ordinary men, its purpose is still the same. Therefore it is not destroyed for them.

जिस भी विवेकज्ञान प्राप्त योगी पुरुष के लिए प्रकृत्ति मुक्ति रूपी प्रयोजन को सिद्ध कर देती है उसके लिए प्रकृत्ति और पुरुष का वियोग हो जाता है लेकिन जो अन्य अज्ञानी, अविवेकी सामान्य लोगों एवं योग मार्ग में आगे बढ़ने वाले जो साधक हैं, उनके लिए प्रकृत्ति नष्ट नहीं होती, उनके लिए तो वह बनी रहती है ।

The union of Purusha and Prakrti causes the realisation of the nature of both the powers.

प्रकृत्ति और उस पुरूष के स्वरूप की प्राप्ति के लिए ही इनका संयोग अर्थात जुड़ाव हुआ है ।

svasvAmizaktyoH svarUpopalabdhihetuH saMyogaH॥2-23॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतस्य हेतुरविद्या॥२-२४॥
The reason of that (union of Purusha and Prakriti) is Avidya (ignorance).

उस प्रकृत्ति व पुरुष के संयोग का कारण वह अविद्या ही है ।

tasya heturavidyA॥2-24॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतदभावात्संयोगाभावो हानं तद् दृशे: कैवल्यम् ॥२-२५॥
In the absence of ignorance the union of Prakriti and Purusha is also lacking. This absence is called Haan i.e freedom from sorrow. Freedom from sorrow is also considered as Kaivalya i.e salvation of the soul.

उस अविद्या का अभाव होने से उस दृष्टा ( पुरुष ) व दृश्य ( प्रकृत्ति ) के संयोग का भी अभाव हो जाता है । इस अभाव को ही हान अर्थात दुःखों से मुक्ति कहा है । दुःखों से मुक्त होना ही आत्मा का कैवल्य अर्थात मोक्ष माना जाता है ।
