स एष पूर्वेषामपि गुरु: कालेनानवच्छेदात् ॥१-२६॥

That God is also the Guru of the Gurus born in ancient times, because He is not limited by time, that is why , He is timeless and exists in all times.

The chant and pronounciation of AUM gives the true knowledge of the Aatma (soul) and eradicate all obstacles which comes in the path of the seeker or practitioner

व्याधिस्त्यानसंशयप्रमादालस्याविरतिभ्रान्तिदर्शनालब्धभूमिकत्वानवस्थितत्वानि चित्तविक्षेपास्तेऽन्तरायाः॥१-३०॥

Vyadhi (disease ), Styana (inactivity or stealing the mind from work), Sanshaya (doubt), Pramada (negligence), Aalasya (lethargy), Avirati (attachment to objects or pleasures), Bhranti Darshana (opposite knowledge or misinformation), Alabdhabhumikattva (non- attainment of samadhi), Anavasthitatva (loss of concentration or state of samadhi or unsteady state of samadhi), these are the 9 Antaraya or obstacles that disturb the mind.
