नयनौपम्यं पद्मदलरूपणं हरिणकर्णनिर्देशः । संयुतकरणेनैव तु चरेणैतानि कुर्वीत ॥ ९६॥

लीला रती रुचि च स्मृतिबुद्धिविभावनाः क्षमां पुष्टिं च । सञ्ज्ञामात्रं प्रणयं विचारणं सङ्गतं शौचम् ॥ ९७॥
The Catura hand is used to represent playfulness, love, brilliance, memory, intelligence, judgement, forgiveness, nourishment, consciousness, affection, reasoning, union, and purity.

चातुर्यं माधुर्यं दाक्षिण्यं मार्दवं सुखं शीलम् । प्रश्नं वार्तायुक्तिं वेषं मृदुशाद्वलं स्तोकम् ॥ ९८॥
The Catura hand is also used to indicate cleverness, sweetness, politeness, softness, happiness, good conduct, questioning, livelihood, propriety, dress, and tender grass, as well as a small quantity.

विभवाविभौ सुरतं गुणागुणौ यौवनं गृहान् दारान् । नानावर्णाश्च तथा चतुरेणैवं प्रयुञ्जीत ॥ ९९॥

सितमूर्ध्वेन तु कुर्यात् रक्तं पीतं च मण्डलकृतेन । परिमुदितेन तु नीलं वर्णाश्चतुरेण हस्तेन ॥ १००॥
[To represent] while it (the Catura hand) should be held up; red and yellow are indicated by moving it round, and blue by pressing [one such hand with another].
