एतेन सत्त्वशौण्डीर्यवीर्यधृतिकान्तिदिव्यगाम्भीय्रम् । आशीर्वादाश्च तथा भावा हितसंज्ञकाः कार्याः ॥ ४७॥
With this (Arāla hand) should be represented courage, pride, prowess, fortitude, beauty, divine grandeur, acts of blessing, and other favorable states.
एतेन पुनः स्त्रीणां केशानां संग्रहोत्कर्षौ । सर्वाङ्गिकं तथैव च निर्वर्णनमात्मनः कार्यम् ॥ ४८॥
With this (Arāla hand) should be represented a woman's gathering or scattering of her hair, as well as a complete self-examination or description of her own body.
कौतुकविवाहयोगं प्रदक्षिणेनैव सम्प्रयोगं च । अङ्गुल्यग्रस्वस्तिकयोगान् परिमण्डलेनैव ॥ ४९॥
The preliminaries of marriage, such as circumambulation (pradakṣiṇā) and marital union, should be represented by two Arāla hands moving around each other, with their fingertips forming a Svastika in a circular motion.
Circumambulation (pradakṣiṇā) and circular movements should be represented, as well as a great assembly of people. Additionally, objects arranged on the ground should also be indicated using this gesture.
