शुकतुण्डौ करौ कृत्वा वक्षस्यभिमुखाञ्चितौ । शनैरधोमुखाविद्धौ सोऽवहित्थ इति स्मृतः ॥ १५६॥
Avahittha—When the two Śukatuṇḍa hands meet each other on the breast and are bent and then slowly lowered, the Avahittha hands will be the result.
english translation
दौर्बल्ये निःश्वसिते गात्राणां दर्शने तनुत्वे च । उत्कण्ठिते च तज्ज्ञैरभिनययोगस्तु कर्तव्यः ॥ १५७॥
(Uses): It is to be used in indicating weakness, sigh, showing one’s body, thinness [or the body] and longing [for a beloved].

मुकुलस्तु यदा हस्तः कपित्थपरिवेष्टितः । वर्धमानः स विज्ञेयः कर्म चास्य निबोधत ॥ १५८॥
