सर्वतो भ्रमणाच्चैव शिरः स्यात् परिलोलितम् । मूर्च्छाव्याधिमदावेशग्रहनिद्रादिषु स्मृतम् ॥३६॥

Parilolita: When the head is moving on all sides, it is called Parilolita. (Uses): It is used in fainting, sickness, power of intoxication being possessed by an evil spirit, drowsiness and the like.

english translation

ऋजुस्वभावसंस्थानं प्राकृतं तु स्वभावजम् । मंगल्याध्ययनध्यानस्वभावजयकर्मसु ॥ ३७॥

Besides these there are many other gestures of the head, which are based on popular acting. These are to be used according to the popular practice (lit. nature).

एभ्योऽन्ये बहवो भेदा लोकाभिनयसंश्रिताः । ते च लोकस्वभावेन प्रयोक्तव्या प्रयोक्तृभिः ॥ ३८॥

In addition to these, there are many other variations of gestures, based on the conventions of daily life. These should be performed by actors in accordance with the natural behavior of people.

त्रयोदशविधं ह्येतच्छिरःकर्म मयोदितम् । अतः परं प्रवक्ष्यामि दृष्टीनामिह लक्षणम् ॥ ३९॥

I have spoken about the thirteen gestures of the head. Now I shall discuss the characteristics of the Glances.

कान्ता भयानका हास्या करुणा चाद्भुता तथा । रौद्रो वीरा च बीभत्सा विज्ञेया रसदृष्टयः ॥ ४०॥

Glances expressing the Sentiments are Kāntā, Bhayānakā, Hāsyā, Karuṇā, Adbhutā, Raudrī, Vīrā, and Bībhatsā.
