हितं पथ्यं च वक्तव्यो भवान् स्वर्गाधिपो हि यत् । आचार्यास्तत्र गच्छन्तु गत्वा कुर्वन्तु ते प्रियम् ॥ ६ ॥
sanskrit
You, as the lord of heaven, should speak only what is beneficial and wholesome. Let the teachers proceed there and carry out what is agreeable to them.
english translation
hitaM pathyaM ca vaktavyo bhavAn svargAdhipo hi yat | AcAryAstatra gacchantu gatvA kurvantu te priyam || 6 ||

प्रोक्तवांस्तु ततो मां तु नृपतिः स कृताञ्जलिः । इदमिच्छामि भगवन् नाट्यमुर्व्यां प्रतिष्ठितम् ॥ ७ ॥

Then the king, with folded hands, addressed me, saying, "O Lord, I wish for this dramatic art to be firmly established on the earth."

proktavAMstu tato mAM tu nRpatiH sa kRtAJjaliH | idamicchAmi bhagavan nATyamurvyAM pratiSThitam || 7 ||

पूर्वमाचार्यकं चैव भवताऽभिहितं श्रुतम् । व्यक्तभावात्विदं लब्धं त्वत्सकाशाद् द्विजोत्तम ॥ ८ ॥

I have previously heard from you about the state of a teacher. This state of manifestation has been attained by me through you, O foremost of the brāhmaṇas.

pUrvamAcAryakaM caiva bhavatA'bhihitaM zrutam | vyaktabhAvAtvidaM labdhaM tvatsakAzAd dvijottama || 8 ||

पितामहगृहेऽस्माकं तदन्तःपुरे जने । पितामहक्रियायुक्त मुर्वश्यां सम्प्रवर्तितम् ॥ ९ ॥

In the inner chambers of our grandfather’s house, the act associated with our grandfather was initiated by Urvaśī.
