Natyashastra
जातीनां त्वथ सर्वासां छन्दोऽवृत्तनिदर्शनम् । स्थानप्रमाणसञ्ज्ञाभिर्गदतो मे निबोधत ॥ ४५॥
Now, with regard to all these classes, understand from me the illustration of metres (chandas) in their various forms (vṛtta), described according to their position (sthāna), measure (pramāṇa), and designation (saṃjñā).
english translation
jAtInAM tvatha sarvAsAM chando'vRttanidarzanam । sthAnapramANasaJjJAbhirgadato me nibodhata ॥ 45॥
