Natyashastra
षष्ठ्यां तु द्विकला शम्या तालश्च द्विकलो भवेत् । पुनश्च द्विकलस्तालः शम्या च द्विकला पुनः ॥ २७२॥
In the sixth Matra, there should be a Śamyā of two Kalās and a Tāla of two Kalās. Then again, a Tāla of two Kalās followed by another Śamyā of two Kalās.
