निवृत्त्या यत्समायुक्तं द्विसङ्ख्यातं तमुच्यते । निर्वृत्तद्वयसम्पन्नं त्रिसङ्ख्यातमितीष्यते ॥ १११॥
The literal Āsārita (lit. that) when it is ॥ once॥ repeated, is called the double Āsārita and when twice repeated it is called the triple Āsārita.
english translation
nivRttyA yatsamAyuktaM dvisaGkhyAtaM tamucyate । nirvRttadvayasampannaM trisaGkhyAtamitISyate ॥ 111॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptचतुष्कादौ चतुर्मात्रा यथोक्तगुरुलाघवाः । यथायोगं गणाः कार्या गीतेष्वासारितेषु च ॥ ११२॥
In ॥ the Tāla of ॥ the Āsārita songs, one should make its ॥ Kalā ॥ of four etc., consist of gaṇas made up of four mātrās, their long and short syllables being as prescribed before.

catuSkAdau caturmAtrA yathoktagurulAghavAH । yathAyogaM gaNAH kAryA gIteSvAsAriteSu ca ॥ 112॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअक्षरैर्या चतुर्मात्रा द्विमात्रा वर्णतस्तु सा । चित्रे कला भवेद्य तु वृत्तौ सा द्विगुणा स्मृता ॥ ११३॥
That which is of four mātrās in syllables becomes two mātrās in terms of varṇas. The Kalā which is so measured in the Citra style is regarded as being double in the Vṛtti style.

akSarairyA caturmAtrA dvimAtrA varNatastu sA । citre kalA bhavedya tu vRttau sA dviguNA smRtA ॥ 113॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवृत्तौ या वर्णमात्राभिश्चतुर्मात्राः प्रकीर्तिता । द्विगुणा दक्षिणे सा तु कला ज्ञेया प्रयोक्तृभिः ॥ ११४॥
That Kalā which in the Vṛtti style is said to have four mātrās in terms of varṇas should be known by performers to be double in measure in the Dakṣiṇa style.
english translation
vRttau yA varNamAtrAbhizcaturmAtrAH prakIrtitA । dviguNA dakSiNe sA tu kalA jJeyA prayoktRbhiH ॥ 114॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन मार्गभेदोऽक्षरेषु कश्चिदप्युपपद्यते । वर्णमात्रा द्विगुणिताद्वर्णभेदः प्रकीर्तितः ॥ ११५॥
No change of the Mārga, is available as regards the syllables ॥ indicated by the name of Tālas ॥. It is only due to doubling the Mātrā that the variation of Varṇas has been described.
