एवमुक्त्वा ततो वाक्यं नृपतैर्भूतये बुधः । नाट्ययोगप्रसिद्ध्यर्थमाशिषस्सम्प्रयोजयेत् ॥ ८६॥
Thus speaking the words, the wise person should direct the blessings towards the kings for the success of the dramatic arts.
english translation
evamuktvA tato vAkyaM nRpatairbhUtaye budhaH । nATyayogaprasiddhyarthamAziSassamprayojayet ॥ 86॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसरस्वती धृतिर्मेधा ह्रीः श्रीर्लक्ष्मीस्स्मृतिर्मतिः । पान्तु वो मातरः सौम्यास्सिद्धिदाश्च भवन्तु वः ॥ ८७॥
May Sarasvatī, Dhṛti, Medhā, Hrī, Śrī, Lakṣmī, Smṛti, and Mati protect you. May the gentle and auspicious mothers and the bestowers of success guide you.
english translation
sarasvatI dhRtirmedhA hrIH zrIrlakSmIssmRtirmatiH । pAntu vo mAtaraH saumyAssiddhidAzca bhavantu vaH ॥ 87॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptहोमं कृत्वा यथान्यायं हविर्मन्त्रपुरस्कृतम् । भिन्द्यात्कुम्भं ततश्चैव नाट्याचार्यः प्रयत्नतः ॥ ८८॥
Having performed the oblation correctly, with the offering being consecrated by the mantra, the drama teacher should break the pot with effort.

homaM kRtvA yathAnyAyaM havirmantrapuraskRtam । bhindyAtkumbhaM tatazcaiva nATyAcAryaH prayatnataH ॥ 88॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअभिन्ने तु भवेत्कुम्भे स्वामिनः शत्रुतो भयम् । भिन्ने चैव तु विज्ञेयः स्वामिनः शत्रुसंक्षयः ॥ ८९॥
When the pot is intact, the master should be fearful of enemies. However, when it is broken, it signifies the destruction of enemies.

abhinne tu bhavetkumbhe svAminaH zatruto bhayam । bhinne caiva tu vijJeyaH svAminaH zatrusaMkSayaH ॥ 89॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभिन्ने कुम्भे ततश्चैव नाट्यचार्यः प्रयत्नतः । प्रगृह्य दीपिकां दीप्तां सर्वं रङ्गं प्रदीपयेत् ॥ ९०॥
When the pot is broken, the drama teacher, with effort, should take the lit lamp and illuminate the entire stage.

bhinne kumbhe tatazcaiva nATyacAryaH prayatnataH । pragRhya dIpikAM dIptAM sarvaM raGgaM pradIpayet ॥ 90॥
