श्रूयतां तद्यथा यत्र कर्तव्यो नाट्यमण्डपः । तस्य वास्तु च पूजा च यथा योज्या प्रयत्नतः ॥ ६॥

Listen, as I explain how the construction of the playhouse should be done. Its structure and worship must be performed with great effort, as prescribed.

इह प्रेक्ष्यागृहं दृष्ट्वा धीमता विश्वकर्मणा । त्रिविधः सन्निवेशश्च शास्त्रतः परिकल्पितः ॥ ७॥

Here, after observing the audience hall, the wise architect Vishwakarma has conceived the threefold arrangement, as outlined in the scriptures.

विकृष्टश्चतुरश्रश्च त्र्यश्रश्चैव तु मण्डपः । तेषां त्रीणि प्रमाणानि ज्येष्ठं मध्यं तथाऽवरम् ॥ ८॥

The playhouse is of three types: square, rectangular, and triangular. Among them, the three measurements are the senior, the middle, and the inferior.

प्रमाणमेषां निर्दिष्टं हस्तदण्डसमाश्रयम् । शतं चाष्टौ चतुःषष्टिर्हस्ता द्वात्रिंशदेव च ॥ ९॥

The measurements for these are based on the length of a hand (hastadanda). They are 108, 84, and 64 hands, and for the inferior type, it is 32 hands.

अष्टाधिकं शतं ज्येष्ठं चतुःषष्टिस्तु मध्यमम् । कनीयस्तु तथा वेश्म हस्ता द्वात्रिंशदिष्यते ॥ १०॥

The superior type is 108 hands, the middle type is 84 hands, and the inferior type is 64 hands. For the inferior house, 32 hands will be the measurement.
