शोधयित्वा वसुमतीं प्रमाणं निर्दिशेत्ततः । (त्रीण्युत्तराणि सौम्यं च विशाखापि च रेवती ।, हस्तितिष्यानुराधाश्च प्रशस्ता नाट्यकर्मणि ।) पुष्यनक्षत्रयोगेन शुक्लं सूत्रं प्रसारयेत् ॥ २७॥

After cleaning the ground, the dimensions should be marked. The auspicious signs and constellations such as the three northern stars, Shravana, Vishakha, and Revati should be considered, as well as the ones that are favorable for the dramatic work. A white thread should be spread according to the alignment with the Pushya Nakshatra.

zodhayitvA vasumatIM pramANaM nirdizettataH | (trINyuttarANi saumyaM ca vizAkhApi ca revatI |, hastitiSyAnurAdhAzca prazastA nATyakarmaNi |) puSyanakSatrayogena zuklaM sUtraM prasArayet || 27||
