प्रथमं शोधनं कृत्वा लाङ्गलेन समुत्कृषेत् । अस्थिकीलकपालानि तृणगुल्मांश्च शोधयेत् ॥ २६॥

First, the ground should be cleaned by removing any impurities using a plough. The bones, pebbles, and clods of earth, along with any grass and shrubs, should be cleared.

english translation

prathamaM zodhanaM kRtvA lAGgalena samutkRSet । asthikIlakapAlAni tRNagulmAMzca zodhayet ॥ 26॥
