एषामेवानुगैर्हस्तैर्गतिं भीतेषु योजयेत् । वणिजां सचिवानां च गतिः कार्या स्वभावजा ॥ ७६॥
The movement of the hands following these ॥ principles॥ should be applied to the gait of the fearful. The gait of merchants and their ministers should be natural (according to their inherent nature).
english translation
eSAmevAnugairhastairgatiM bhIteSu yojayet । vaNijAM sacivAnAM ca gatiH kAryA svabhAvajA ॥ 76॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकृत्वा नाभितटे हस्तमुत्तानखटकामुखम् । आद्यं चारालमुत्तानं कुर्यात्पार्श्वं स्तनान्तरे ॥ ७७॥
With the hand raised at the navel showing the upturned Kaṭakāmukha, The first hand should show the upturned Arāla, placed at the side below the chest.
english translation
kRtvA nAbhitaTe hastamuttAnakhaTakAmukham । AdyaM cArAlamuttAnaM kuryAtpArzvaM stanAntare ॥ 77॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन निषण्णं न च स्तब्धं न चापि परिवाहितम् । कृत्वा गात्रं तथा गच्छेत्तेन चैव क्रमेण तु ॥ ७८॥
Neither seated nor motionless, nor carried along carelessly, Having placed the hand on the body, he should walk with proper sequence.
english translation
na niSaNNaM na ca stabdhaM na cApi parivAhitam । kRtvA gAtraM tathA gacchettena caiva krameNa tu ॥ 78॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअतिक्रान्तैर्पदैर्विप्रा द्वितालान्तरगामिभिः । यतीनां श्रमणानां च ये चान्ये तपसि स्थिताः ॥ ७९॥
The Brahmins, Yatis, Śramaṇas, and others who are engaged in austerities, should walk with steps that are Atikrānta (long strides), each step covering a distance of two Tālas.

atikrAntairpadairviprA dvitAlAntaragAmibhiH । yatInAM zramaNAnAM ca ye cAnye tapasi sthitAH ॥ 79॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतेषां कार्या गतिर्ये तु नैष्ठिकं व्रतमाश्रिताः । आलोलचक्षुश्च भवेद्युगमात्रनिरीक्षणः ॥ ८०॥
For those who have not taken a firm vow, their gait should be performed with wavering eyes and occasional glances (looking around intermittently).
