The movement of the hands following these [principles] should be applied to the gait of the fearful. The gait of merchants and their ministers should be natural (according to their inherent nature).
अतिक्रान्तैर्पदैर्विप्रा द्वितालान्तरगामिभिः । यतीनां श्रमणानां च ये चान्ये तपसि स्थिताः ॥ ७९॥
The Brahmins, Yatis, Śramaṇas, and others who are engaged in austerities, should walk with steps that are Atikrānta (long strides), each step covering a distance of two Tālas.
