प्रोक्तवान्द्रुहिणं गत्वा सभायान्तु कृताञ्जलीः । सज्जं नाट्यगृहं देव तदेवेक्षितुमर्हसि ॥८१॥

Having spoken thus, he went to Drhiṇa, and the assembled ones, with folded hands, said, "O Lord, you should now proceed to witness the prepared theater."

proktavAndruhiNaM gatvA sabhAyAntu kRtAJjalIH | sajjaM nATyagRhaM deva tadevekSitumarhasi ||81||

ततः सह महेन्द्रेण सुरैः सर्वैश्च सेतरैः । आगतस्त्वरितो दृष्टुं द्रुहिणो नाट्यमण्डपम् ॥ ८२॥

Then, along with Mahendra and all the gods, Drhiṇa, hastening, arrived to witness the theater.

tataH saha mahendreNa suraiH sarvaizca setaraiH | Agatastvarito dRSTuM druhiNo nATyamaNDapam || 82||

दृष्ट्वा नाट्यगृहं ब्रह्मा प्राह सर्वान्सुरांस्ततः । अंशभागैर्भवद्भिस्तु रक्ष्योऽयं नाट्यमण्डपः ॥ ८३॥

Upon seeing the theater, Brahma then spoke to all the gods: "This theater should be protected by you all with your portions."

dRSTvA nATyagRhaM brahmA prAha sarvAnsurAMstataH | aMzabhAgairbhavadbhistu rakSyo'yaM nATyamaNDapaH || 83||

रक्षणे मण्डपस्याथ विनियुक्तस्तु चन्द्रमाः । लोकपालास्तथा दिक्षु विदिक्ष्वपि च मारुताः ॥ ८४॥

For the protection of the pavilion, the moon was appointed, and the guardians of the directions, as well as the winds, were stationed in all directions.

rakSaNe maNDapasyAtha viniyuktastu candramAH | lokapAlAstathA dikSu vidikSvapi ca mArutAH || 84||

नेपथ्यभूमौ मित्रस्तु निक्षिप्तो वरुणोऽम्बरे । वेदिकारक्षणे वह्निर्भाण्डे सर्वदिवौकसः ॥ ८५॥

In the backstage area, Varuna, the friend, was placed in the sky, while the fire, for the protection of the stage, was placed in the vessel by all the celestial beings.
