बलिप्रदानैर्होमैश्च मन्त्रौषधिसमन्वितैः । भोज्यैर्भक्षैश्च पानैश्च बलिः समुपकल्पताम् ॥ १२१॥

"With offerings of sacrifice, along with mantras and medicinal herbs, and accompanied by food offerings, drinks, and other sacrificial substances, let the offering (Bali) be properly arranged."

मर्त्यलोकगताः सर्वे शुभां पूजामवाप्स्यथ । अपूजयित्वा रङ्गं तु नैव प्रेक्षां प्रवर्तयेत् ॥ १२२॥

"All beings in the mortal world will attain auspicious worship. After performing the worship, one should not begin the performance of the play without first completing the rituals."

martyalokagatAH sarve zubhAM pUjAmavApsyatha | apUjayitvA raGgaM tu naiva prekSAM pravartayet || 122||

अपूजयित्वा रङ्गं तु यः प्रेक्षां कल्पयिष्यति । निष्फलं तस्य तत् ज्ञानं तिर्यग्योनिं च यास्यति ॥ १२३॥

"One who sets up the stage for the performance without first completing the worship, the knowledge gained by such a person will be fruitless, and they will fall into the cycle of lower births (tiryagyoni)."

apUjayitvA raGgaM tu yaH prekSAM kalpayiSyati | niSphalaM tasya tat jJAnaM tiryagyoniM ca yAsyati || 123||

यज्ञेन संमितं ह्येदद्रङ्गदैवतपूजनम् । तस्मात्सर्वप्रयत्नेन कर्तव्यं नाट्ययोक्तृभिः ॥ १२४॥

"By the sacrifice and rituals, this worship of the deity of the stage should be performed. Therefore, it should be carried out with utmost effort by those who are knowledgeable in the art of drama."
