अनंशौ क्लीबपतितौ जात्यन्धबधिरौ तथा । उन्मत्तजडमूकाश्च ये च के चिन्निरिन्द्रियाः ॥ २०१ ॥

sanskrit

Eunuchs and outcasts, (persons) born blind or deaf, the insane, idiots and the dumb, as well as those deficient in any organ (of action or sensation), receive no share.

english translation

anaMzau klIbapatitau jAtyandhabadhirau tathA | unmattajaDamUkAzca ye ca ke cinnirindriyAH || 201 ||

सर्वेषामपि तु न्याय्यं दातुं शक्त्या मनीषिणा । ग्रासाच्छादनमत्यन्तं पतितो ह्यददद् भवेत् ॥ २०२ ॥

sanskrit

But it is just that (a man) who knows (the law) should give even to all of them food and raiment without stint, according to his ability; he who gives it not will become all outcast.

english translation

sarveSAmapi tu nyAyyaM dAtuM zaktyA manISiNA | grAsAcchAdanamatyantaM patito hyadadad bhavet || 202 ||

यद्यर्थिता तु दारैः स्यात् क्लीबादीनां कथं चन । तेषामुत्पन्नतन्तूनामपत्यं दायमर्हति ॥ २०३ ॥

sanskrit

If the eunuch and the rest should somehow or other desire to (take) wives, the offspring of such among them as have children is worthy of a share.

english translation

yadyarthitA tu dAraiH syAt klIbAdInAM kathaM cana | teSAmutpannatantUnAmapatyaM dAyamarhati || 203 ||

यत् किं चित् पितरि प्रेते धनं ज्येष्ठोऽधिगच्छति । भागो यवीयसां तत्र यदि विद्यानुपालिनः ॥ २०४ ॥

sanskrit

Whatever property the eldest (son) acquires (by his own exertion) after the father’s death, a share of that (shall belong) to his younger (brothers), provided they have made a due progress in learning.

english translation

yat kiM cit pitari prete dhanaM jyeSTho'dhigacchati | bhAgo yavIyasAM tatra yadi vidyAnupAlinaH || 204 ||

अविद्यानां तु सर्वेषामीहातश्चेद् धनं भवेत् । समस्तत्र विभागः स्यादपित्र्य इति धारणा ॥ २०५ ॥

sanskrit

But if all of them, being unlearned, acquire property by their labour, the division of that shall be equal, (as it is) not property acquired by the father; that is a settled rule.

english translation

avidyAnAM tu sarveSAmIhAtazced dhanaM bhavet | samastatra vibhAgaH syAdapitrya iti dhAraNA || 205 ||
