अतिक्रान्ते दशाहे च त्रिरात्रमशुचिर्भवेत् । संवत्सरे व्यतीते तु स्पृष्ट्वैवापो विशुध्यति ॥ ७६ ॥
If the ten days have passed, he shall be impure during three (days and) nights; but if a year has elapsed (since the occurrence of the death), he becomes pure merely by bathing.

atikrAnte dazAhe ca trirAtramazucirbhavet । saMvatsare vyatIte tu spRSTvaivApo vizudhyati ॥ 76 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनिर्दशं ज्ञातिमरणं श्रुत्वा पुत्रस्य जन्म च । सवासा जलमाप्लुत्य शुद्धो भवति मानवः ॥ ७७ ॥
A man who hears of a (Sapinda) relative’s death, or of the birth of a son after the ten days (of impurity have passed), becomes pure by bathing, dressed in his garments.

nirdazaM jJAtimaraNaM zrutvA putrasya janma ca । savAsA jalamAplutya zuddho bhavati mAnavaH ॥ 77 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptबाले देशान्तरस्थे च पृथक्पिण्डे च संस्थिते । सवासा जलमाप्लुत्य सद्य एव विशुध्यति ॥ ७८ ॥
If an infant (that has not teethed), or a (grownup relative who is) not a Sapinda, die in a distant country, one becomes at once pure after bathing in one’s clothes.

bAle dezAntarasthe ca pRthakpiNDe ca saMsthite । savAsA jalamAplutya sadya eva vizudhyati ॥ 78 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअन्तर्दशाहे स्यातां चेत् पुनर्मरणजन्मनी । तावत् स्यादशुचिर्विप्रो यावत् तत् स्यादनिर्दशम् ॥ ७९ ॥
If within the ten days (of impurity) another birth or death happens, a Brahmana shall remain impure only until the (first) period of ten days has expired.

antardazAhe syAtAM cet punarmaraNajanmanI । tAvat syAdazucirvipro yAvat tat syAdanirdazam ॥ 79 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptत्रिरात्रमाहुराशौचमाचार्ये संस्थिते सति । तस्य पुत्रे च पत्न्यां च दिवारात्रमिति स्थितिः ॥ ८० ॥
They declare that, when the teacher (akarya) has died, the impurity (lasts) three days; if the (teacher’s) son or wife (is dead, it lasts) a day and a night; that is a settled (rule).
