अस्रं गमयति प्रेतान् कोपोऽरीननृतं शुनः । पादस्पर्शस्तु रक्षांसि दुष्कृतीनवधूननम् ॥ २३० ॥

sanskrit

A tear sends the (food) to the Pretas, anger to his enemies, a falsehood to the dogs, contact with his foot to the Rakshasas, a shaking to the sinners.

english translation

asraM gamayati pretAn kopo'rInanRtaM zunaH । pAdasparzastu rakSAMsi duSkRtInavadhUnanam ॥ 230 ॥
