Manusmriti
ध्रियमाणे तु पितरि पूर्वेषामेव निर्वपेत् । विप्रवद् वाऽपि तं श्राद्धे स्वकं पितरमाशयेत् ॥ २२० ॥
But if the (sacrificer’s) father is living, he must offer (the cakes) to three remoter (ancestors); or he may also feed his father at the funeral sacrifice as (one of the) Brahmana (guests).
english translation
dhriyamANe tu pitari pUrveSAmeva nirvapet । vipravad vA'pi taM zrAddhe svakaM pitaramAzayet ॥ 220 ॥
