Manusmriti
नापृष्टः कस्य चिद् ब्रूयान्न चान्यायेन पृच्छतः । जानन्नपि हि मेधावी जडवल्लोक आचरेत् ॥ ११० ॥
Unless one be asked, one must not explain (anything) to anybody, nor (must one answer) a person who asks improperly; let a wise man, though he knows (the answer), behave among men as (if he were) an idiot.
english translation
nApRSTaH kasya cid brUyAnna cAnyAyena pRcchataH । jAnannapi hi medhAvI jaDavalloka Acaret ॥ 110 ॥
