यथा स हृतदर्पश च हृततेजाश च पाण्डव भविष्यति सुखं हन्तुं सत्यम एतद बरवीमि ते ॥ ५-८-३१ ॥
‘Just as he will be stripped of pride and of splendour, O Pandava, so shall he be more easily vanquished, and thus, I truly declare to thee, thou shalt attain victory and happiness in the duel.’ ॥ 5-8-31 ॥

yathA sa hRtadarpaza ca hRtatejAza ca pANDava bhaviSyati sukhaM hantuM satyama etada baravImi te ॥ 5-8-31 ॥

‘This I tell thee truly, O my son. At thy request, this I am determined to do. Whatever else I may be able to accomplish, I shall do it for thy welfare.’ ॥ 5-8-32 ॥

evama etata kariSyAmi yathA tAta tavama Attha mAma yaca cAnyada api zakSyAmi tata kariSyAmi te pariyama ॥ 5-8-32 ॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptजटासुरात परिक्लेशः कीचकाच च महाद्युते दरौपद्याधिगतं सर्वं दमयन्त्या यथाशुभम ॥ ५-८-३४ ॥
‘ .the misery inflicted by the Asura Jāta and by Kiçhaka, O illustrious one, and all the sufferings endured by Draupadī, similar to those once borne by Damayantī—shall, O hero, ultimately end in joy and deliverance.’ ॥ 5-8-34 ॥

jaTAsurAta pariklezaH kIcakAca ca mahAdyute daraupadyAdhigataM sarvaM damayantyA yathAzubhama ॥ 5-8-34 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसर्वं दुःखम इदं वीर सुखॊदर्कं भविष्यति नात्र मन्युस तवया कार्यॊ विधिर हि बलवत्तरः ॥ ५-८-३५ ॥
‘All these sufferings, O hero, shall be turned to happiness for thee. There is no one, O valiant one, who can thwart thy will, for thy power is supreme.’ ॥ 5-8-35 ॥
