गर्दभे मार्दवं कुर्याद गॊषु तीक्ष्णं समाचरेत मृदु दुर्यॊधने वाक्यं यॊ बरूयात पापचेतसि ॥ ५-४-५ ॥
‘Mildness suits the treatment of a meek ass, but when it comes to untamed bulls, sternness alone must be applied. If anyone were to speak softly to Duryodhana, vicious as he is, that wretch would only deem the speaker a weak and foolish simpleton.’ ॥ 5-4-5 ॥
