तस्माद इतॊ गच्छतु धर्मशीलः; शुचिः कुलीनः पुरुषॊ ऽपरमत्तः दूतः समर्थः परशमाय तेषां; राज्यार्ध दानाय युधिष्ठिरस्य ॥ ५-१-२४ ॥
‘Therefore, a person of virtue, honesty, respectable birth, and prudence—an able ambassador—should be sent to beseech them gently, seeking to induce them to grant half the kingdom to Yudhishthira.’ ॥ 5-1-24 ॥
