जगाम तेषां सा रात्रिः पुण्या रतिविहारिणाम सतूयमानाश च विश्रान्ताः काले निद्राम अथात्यजन ।। २-५२-३६ ।।

sanskrit

'Receiving in due order what was offered, the conquerors of hostile lands enjoyed the delightful night with cheerful hearts, immersed in pleasure and sport. Awakened by the bards' sweet music, they rose from their beds, having spent the night in joy and contentment.' ।। 2-52-36 ।।

english translation

jagAma teSAM sA rAtriH puNyA rativihAriNAma satUyamAnAza ca vizrAntAH kAle nidrAma athAtyajana || 2-52-36 ||

सुखॊषितास तां रजनीं परातः सर्वे कृताह्निकाः सभां रम्यां परविविशुः कितवैर अभिसंवृताम ।। २-५२-३७ ।।

'At dawn, having performed their usual rites, they entered the assembly hall, where they were greeted by those prepared for the game of dice.' ।। 2-52-37 ।।
