'Receiving that worship from Yudhishthira in the proper form, the Rishi became gratified. Thus honored by the Pandavas and the great Rishis, Narada, who possessed complete mastery over the Vedas, addressed Yudhishthira with words concerning religion, wealth, pleasure, and salvation.' ।। 2-5-6 ।।
[न] कच चिद अर्थाश च कल्पन्ते धर्मे च रमते मनः सुखानि चानुभूयन्ते मनश च न विहन्यते ।। २-५-७ ।।
'Narada said: "Do your pursuits prosper? Is your mind focused on righteousness? Do you experience happiness, and is your mind free from distress?"' ।। 2-5-7 ।।
कच चिद अर्थं च धर्मं च कामं च जयतां वर विभज्य काले कालज्ञ सदा वरद सेवसे ।। २-५-१० ।।
'O chief among the victorious, always dedicated to the welfare of all, and well-versed in the appropriateness of time, do you, in a balanced manner, pursue righteousness, wealth, pleasure, and liberation, allocating time to each accordingly?' ।। 2-5-10 ।।
