ततः सफाटिकतॊयां वै सफाटिकाम्बुज शॊभिताम वापीं मत्वा सथलम इति स वासाः परापतज जले ॥ २-४३-५ ॥
'And later, mistaking a crystal-clear lake adorned with lotus flowers made of crystal for solid ground, the king stepped in and fell into the water fully clothed.' ॥ 2-43-5 ॥
english translation
tataH saphATikatòyAM vai saphATikAmbuja zòbhitAma vApIM matvA sathalama iti sa vAsAH parApataja jale ॥ 2-43-5 ॥
