'How is it that you, superior in knowledge, desire to praise that cowherd (Krishna), when even men of little intelligence can find reasons to criticize him?' ।। 2-38-6 ।।
'If Krishna, in his infancy, slew a vulture, what is so remarkable about that? And what is noteworthy, O Bhishma, about his killing of Aswa and Vrishava, both of whom were unskilled in battle?' ।। 2-38-7 ।।
'If this one (Krishna) merely threw down an inanimate object, such as a cart, with a kick, what is there, O Bhishma, that is so extraordinary about that?' ।। 2-38-8 ।।
'Hearing that he (Krishna) consumed a large amount of food while playing on the top of the mountain, those who listen to you, Bhishma, are filled with great astonishment.' ।। 2-38-10 ।।
